Well It's Been A While...

It has been nearly ages since my last post, not quite, but the delay has felt exponentially so. Ideally I will try to keep the site going as intended with an interest in the music, arts, technology and gaming culture; never a simple matter while operating solely as Editor/Writer. Anywho, let me shift gears from what I would like to do, to what I've been wasting my time with as of late, in a good way of course.

I have had time to dabble in a new CCG (Collectible Card Game) called Spellcraft: Descent Into Chaos by developers Three Goblins. I am new to this style of CCG which is similar to Kard Combat where all action (spells, minions, etc) occur within 5 rows. While normally I would sit here and break down matters more, time is limited and I will just say I am enjoying the game and being able to deal directly with developers on new card ideas and mechanics is equally enthralling. The game shares a lot of similarities or at least for me, that are rooted in my all time favorite CCG Magic: The Gathering.

Another game I've also been playing a lot on mobile, which is also based on a board/card game, is Ascension, this is based off of a genre called Deck-Building Card Games which essentially contain all cards available in a series drafted by players and used per game.  The reason I am hooked on this game yet again is that I missed out on the Storm of Souls expansion and decided to give it a test. I truly missed the speed and excitement and how this game gives me that old nostalgic feel (maybe the card design is a factor) I used to get playing M:TG in middle school.

[Brief Look - Music] Ramzez "Game Over" (Video)

@RamzezDaRuler @Valholla @VinceValholla @VegasMusic

And the camp that moves methodically, but always has a high quality sheen to all their productions, is Valholla Entertainment; yet again providing sleek visuals for Ramzez' "Game Over" freestyle.

The hard hitting drum break like patterns, bless the sinister synths provided by Vegas, that are the backing vocals in which Ramzez continues echoing his thoughts of the daily debauchery that is a veil over Miami's mantle; also expressing the ups and downs of coming up in the hip-hop scene in general.

I agree wholeheartedly with the line "big things poppin', bitches think I'm broke cuz my wrists ain't flossin" which shows off Ramzez humility as some people choose to use their money for more productive things rather than walking around like an overdecorated holiday conifer. This becomes more notable in his other music on The Therapy Tape, where he skirts along the edges of street life vs the right life, the hustler life, and just life in general. Something feasable to us common folk.

[Brief Look - Music] Jigg - Spittaduction LP (Hosted by DJ Drama/Don Cannon)

@Jigg305 @DJDrama @DonCannon

Quite the come up for Miami's own Jigg, who has enlisted the likes of DJ Drama ("Gangsta Grillz" Series) and Don Cannon (celebrated mixtape host) for his latest mixtape Spittaduction, the transition between High Grade and High Grade 2.

Lacing several industry hit instrumentals (except for bonus single "So Hot"), Jigg provides another view into the Miami life, and a different voice to the image of our city.  With a city chock full of slept on talent, its always a great sight to see someone who's hustle you've witnessed progress over time, get the recognition that is well deserved. A mixtape with all types of moods of music, and dope variety from laid back to party vibes every moment of Miami life is represented well on Spittaduction

[Brief Look - Music] D. Cash "Smile" (Video)

Some new visuals from Miami MC and dope at that, D.Cash, on his tune called Smile from the 2Real4Radio project.

We all go through struggle with the family and in the end all we have is one another, this song reminds us of just that. The raspy vocals from Miami's D.Cash pen that tale of family and its benefits over a soulful upbeat production bringing that sense of ease to life with the words he laces.

Great work from 2FlyyCrue's D.Cash.

[Brief Look - Music] Madd Illz ft. L.M.S. "Freeverse #11"

Here is some new music from Orlando's Madd Illz and Miami's own L.M.S. and sure as hell was the perfect companion for all the caffeine I have in my colada cup this AM. This video comes from the Freeverse series by Madd Illz, currently at number 11.

The two MC's go in on the beat, blessed with dubstep-like synths and heavy drums (prod. by Gully Duckets), dropping some intelligent lyrics in a machine gun like pattern that most MC's dream of achieving.

Enjoy the video and once again mad props on the tune from Madd Illz and L.M.S., and all the things they've done throughout the years for MC battles and hip-hop as a whole. Big Ups!
